Maintenance Division

I started working for Sanderson James in 2007 assisting with the admin tasks at our head office in Gorton. Following this I was asked to take on a more responsible and challenging role looking after the Maintenance Division. The Maintenance Division is set up to primarily look after the properties managed by our Lettings Department. My role is to see repair works for properties through to completion which includes liaising with contractors day to day to ensure they have completed jobs, creating and sending invoices to the landlords for payment and ensuring that all contractors are paid on time. Whilst many of the day to day repair works may be minor, one of the more interesting aspects of my job is to co-ordinate the refurbishment of properties, gaining quotes from various contractors, and seeing a house changed from a shell into a liveable home.
